Maeve McBride
Erotic Educator, Event Organizer & Sexological Herbalist

Meet Maeve
Maeve McBride (she/they) is an erotic and BDSM educator, sexological herbalist, event producer, and community organizer who has been exploring the intersections of kink, sacred sex, plants, and personal alchemy for over 24 years.

A fun, sensual, and compassionate switch-witch, Maeve delights in empowering folx of all persuasions to work toward their unique erotic, sexual, and embodied goals. They teach classes to folx seeking to explore pleasure, deepen connection, and gently dismantle the internal and external barriers that limit sexual, sensual, and kinky expression.

Maeve’s work weaves together evidence-based education, anatomy geekery, intentional goal-setting, mindfulness practices, communication tools, playfulness, and experimentation. All offerings are held within a non-judgmental, consent-forward environment that honors curiosity, agency, and personal choice.

Maeve presents classes in person, online, and at conferences internationally. Her goal is always to support students and clients in building a personalized, reusable toolkit; one that supports deeper connection with self, desire, and partners; and empowers individuals to live more embodied, pleasure-filled lives.

Maeve is passionate about safety in Kink. She even co-wrote a book on Dungeon Monitoring and Dungeon Safety. It is available free through a creative commons license. You can download a free copy here

Events
On the first Saturday of each month, Maeve hosts Popping Questions, a kinky team pub quiz and social event at Sanctuary in Portland. Designed to be welcoming to both newcomers and long-time members of the kink scene, this event blends low-pressure socializing with playful competition. Teams compete in a modified British-style pub quiz for sexy prizes, bragging rights, and most importantly, a great time. Each month features a themed quiz with a wide variety of round styles, including general trivia, puzzle rounds, and “name that tune,” among others.

Following the quiz, Maeve hosts The Missing Kink, a newbie-friendly party focused on mingling, dancing, and connection. Attendees may choose to receive tastings from vetted tops, socialize, or play and scene using the club’s many well-equipped play spaces.

Maeve also hosts Crafty Cunts Munch, a free, casual social gathering held at Studio 201 the first Monday of every Month in Portland.
Services
Maeve teaches a wide variety of public classes and hosts several community events.
She sees clients in person and via teleconference for private education, classes and readings.
